| Gray light 1957 entering window the wallpaper's flowers seem to grimace then relax there is nothing to worry about it is 1957 gray light enters the window without care if one looked close enough one might see a trace a smudge a scratch on the surface on the surface of what I don't know there seems to be a frame around this entire scene as if this thing we know wasn't real a light that falls gray against a wall and splits each thought thrown at it in two in three in four it is time it is 1957 change is in the air light shines from a place far away this wallpaper knows each voice and each number one after the other ascending in importance floating with the scratch the smudge the trace all of this points to a tired truth the light that enters the window is not moving it is 1957 nothing moves a voice counts down the wallpaper relaxes the window is not there it is not 1957 the house burned down in a fire that killed no one now the moon is full now it isn't |
