We’re more than a little excited to announce publication next spring of Golden Gate and Other Stories by the justly celebrated Clarence Major.  As Luis Alberto Urrea says, “Clarence Major is the voice of our country singing sweet and bitter and loud.”

The book is a gathering of thirteen unpublished stories of aspiration, thriving and authentic lives set in California’s Bay Area. A few examples: A frustrated married woman searching for happiness online and at conferences. A reporter from San Francisco goes to Rome to interview the widow of a world-famous deceased American novelist. A young woman goes on a date with a young man just to teach him a lesson. In a San Francisco boarding house, a man is the bane of everyone’s existence. Two children are disappointed when their mother marries while they are away visiting their father. A dilettante throws parties everybody loves. A communist from France becomes paranoid when the man she is dating might be spying on her.

While we are accepting pre-orders on this site, the book will be sent in the spring to Itasca Books for national distribution and will be available to bookstores everywhere.

MoonPath Press has announced that Sati Mookherjee, whose book Eye is due to be released August 13, 2022, has won their 2022 Award for her collection, Ways of Being, as judged by Alice Derry.

We’re starting off with an active slate of fine new books!

In February, Light Reflection Over Blues by  Avital Gad-Cykman, with original drawings by Revital Lessick — edgy and enchanting in condensed, poetic short prose.

Also in February Triple No. 16 with Ann Spiers, Gregory K Cole and J Karl Bogartte.

In March, EYE by Sati Mookherjee — a lush recounting with evocative lyrical descriptions in poetry of the author’s grandfather’s exile from India through details in which we see “ordinary things turned holy.”

In May, the long-awaited Waves & Tonics by Tsipi Keller, a poetic retelling on a writer’s odyssey down the East Coast, from New York to South Florida with all the ensuing, messy realities in our current social dysfunction.

All six of our recent titles are in the mail!  Cheers to all!

We wrap up this flurry with Triple No. 12.  Comprising poetry by Jeff Alessandrelli and short prose by Meg Pokrass and Angela Readman, there is enough substance here to sustain us awhile.

A very lovely Triple No. 11, another great one in the series.  Comprising poetry by Greg Bem and prose by Kat Meads as well as co-athors Samuel Ace and Maureen Seaton, there is substance, humor and heart throughout the pages.

The poems in LittleDouble Elegy for All of You tell the intertwined stories of a musician’s injury and recovery, depression and euthymia.  As episodes, the poems disclose the discover those spaces.  Together, they reflect a life of chronic love.

We love the Triples, and this is another great one in the series.  Comprising poetry by Jayne Marek and Bethany Reid plus artwork by George J. Farrah, there is substance, humor and heart throughout the pages.
