Our passage of time skewed by political chaos, we have been slow to post but not to publish.
Winter in Fargo, by Rodney Nelson, mentioned in our January post: Nelson’s collection of memoir-ish poems took second place in the 2013 Cathlamet Prize competition and is graced by a drawing of a winter tree by Minnesota artist Trygve Olson. Writer and editor Joel Van Valin found that Nelson’s poems felt “as though they were written in a strange, magical language” that could “only be roughly translated to English.” A beautiful and thoughtful addition to our Pocket Series.
