Like color found in the snow, like a beating heart in a coat pocket, Ravenna went on a tear this month and published new titles.
First up: Quodlibet, a new collection of poems by Tree Riesener. Neil Aitken best describes the book:
“Quodlibet takes us on a strange journey through sacred mystery and divine terror across a landscape that verges on apocalyptic violence and turmoil. With each haunting image, Riesener brings us “naked and shivering” closer to what lies beneath the scar, delving into the “lamentable mystery” that is the human condition. As John Donne before her, Riesener writes the sublime unflinchingly and convincingly, laying bare a passion that plays out in blood, angels, and an unforgettable liturgy of loss.”
