Reinventing
Maslow’s Hierarchy
The ancient Chinese poets had it
all together. From perches high
upon a mountain they could see
the moon and men far off across
the valley too while in between
butterfly catching attention
before floating off, soon to lead
gaze into a middle distance
where a bowl of rice, looking cooked,
would suffice.
