A swarm of bees
the size of stadium blimps
(much bigger & scarier
than Macy's parade balloons)
filled downtown skies
this afternoon,
chasing away
local news choppers that dared
to get too close -
so it looks like we'll be going
without our ant-ish aerial views
of rush-hour traffic
for at least a few days.

Sure, I dated a horse
back in high school.
I suppose you didn't
attack everything on hoofs.
This wouldn't be
the first time
that I've been rubber,
you've been glue, etc.
Fortunately, I'm now
actually made of rubber.
See how well I bounce
when I fall down?
